The design of the interior of a 1200 SF Upper East Side apartment in NYC. The client was interested in the ability to spontaneously transform the apartment from an open 1200 SF loft to a traditional 2-bedroom apartment. The design solution incorporates a series of innovative “doors” that once closed maintain a 2-bedroom apartment and provide privacy. However, once these doors are opened, the entire volume of the apartment can be experienced as a continuous space.
