Historic preservation has been delegated to the preservation of the "appearance" of buildings. This project is an exploration of an alternative "historic preservation" through the conservation of the structure of the building and its juxtaposition with the new infrastructure. The project highlights the constructive principles and the material conditions of the building over its appearance.
